Educational Qualifications
General Duty cadre applicants were required to hold a GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE, NECO, or equivalent certificate with a minimum of five credits, including English Language and Mathematics. Specialist cadre applicants required a minimum of four credits, including English Language and Mathematics, plus at least three years of relevant experience and trade tests.
Age Requirements
Applicants were required to be between 18 and 25 years old for the General Duty cadre, and between 18 and 28 years old for the Specialist cadre.
Physical Requirements
For the General Duty cadre, applicants were required to be no less than 1.67 metres tall for males and 1.64 metres tall for females, in addition to being medically, physically, and psychologically fit.
